Art Basel Paris 2025

The Grand Palais is preparing to once again host the thrill of major social and artistic events. In a few days, the former nave will be transformed into a vast, vibrant theatre, welcoming one of the essential events on the European calendar: Art Basel Paris 2025. It promises to be the grand autumn ritual: a spectacular concentration of creative vitality.

The Art Basel experience is conceived as a global map of the present moment. Between the monumental aisles and beneath the historic glass roof, a journey unfolds between established values and the promise of discovery. The three founding sectors—Galleries, Emergence, and Premise—form the backbone of a constantly evolving market, juxtaposing the depth of modern works with the boldness of emerging artists.
But it is far beyond the ephemeral setting of the Grand Palais that the fever of creation takes on its freest meaning. This year again, the Public Program makes Paris its workshop, taking over nine iconic locations. Art breaks free from walls to engage directly with the city, offering a series of free events open to all.

At the Palais d'Iéna, Turner Prize winner Helen Marten will present 30 Blizzards, a project orchestrated by Miu Miu. Expect a cool, minimalist poetry here, both enigmatic and deeply sensual. A change of tone on Place Vendôme, where the American artist Alex Da Corte injects a dose of monumental derision with his installation of Kermit the Frog, a pop icon reminiscent of the joyful absurdity of the era.

Winston Churchill Avenue, pedestrianized for the occasion, will be transformed into a majestic sculptural promenade. The works of Thomas Houseago, Leiko Ikemura, and Wang Keping will engage in a dialogue with the city's rhythm, transforming the public space into an open-air museum. Meanwhile, Julius von Bismarck will occupy the façade of the Petit Palais with his installations blending the immateriality of light and the starkness of sculpture, while Joël Andrianomearisoa will unleash his Wild herbs of the old house at the Hôtel de la Marine, weaving a new story of memory and presence.

The speech continues in the elegant program Conversations, bringing together twelve round tables in the heart of the Petit Palais. This platform for reflection will notably welcome Edward Enninful, a living legend of fashion, for a series of fascinating discussions on the cultural legacy of the 1990s. Alongside him, figures such as Tyler Mitchell, Kiddy Smile and Josèfa Ntjam will share their visions, outlining the contours of an art that is simultaneously a place of memory, resistance and a re-enchantment of everyday life.

Finally, the entire capital will be united in celebration of the event. From the Gerhard Richter retrospective at the Louis Vuitton Foundation to the triple exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, and including the new Cartier Foundation, art will be present in every neighborhood, every conversation, every street corner.
