Through her paintings, Kris Knight unveils fragments of life where time has stood still. The protagonist's inner world is laid bare. With a single glance, Knight invites the viewer to become part of a life that is not their own.
A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2003, the Canadian painter quickly forged an artistic identity that is sometimes romantic, sometimes realistic. His work is exhibited in various venues.
prestigious cultural institutions ranging from the Royal Bank of Canada to the Parisian gallery Alain Gutharc.

Kris Knight's world combines calm and gentleness. She finds inspiration by looking at personal photographs from her past, but also from
his present life. Through his oil and pastel works, the painter seeks above all to tell stories filled with melancholy. He does not conceive of paintings, but rather images.
And what about the male figure in all of this? The painter is interested in the stereotypes society uses to represent queer men. In the vulnerability of his work, the artist primarily seeks to evoke ambiguity.
Knight will be the subject of a solo exhibition in January 2024 at Spinello Projects in Miami. An artist to watch very closely.
Kris Knight is represented in France by the Alain Gutharc Gallery.
