A SENSORY IMMERSION BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERNITY

To mark its 120th anniversary, the Caron house, a true pioneer in luxury perfumery, has decided to celebrate its heritage in an unprecedented way.

Since 1904, Caron has pushed the boundaries of olfactory inventiveness with revolutionary creations such as Pour Un Homme de Caron, the first men's fragrance in the history of perfumery, and Tabac Blond, an iconic scent. Today, this story continues under the artistic direction of Olivia de Rothschild, who perpetuates the enterprising spirit of the house.
Caron was founded by Ernest Daltroff and Félicie Wanpouille, a visionary duo driven by a shared passion for innovation. Daltroff, a lover of flowers, and Wanpouille, gifted with extraordinary intuition, challenged conventions to create inventive and multifaceted perfumes. Their unique approach, blending sensitivity and rebellion, became the signature of the house, which continues to push the boundaries of olfactory creativity today.

To mark its anniversary, Caron invited designer Harry Nuriev to reinvent the space at 23 rue François-Ier in Paris. The boutique has been transformed into an immersive experience where past and present meet. Historical objects, such as Art Deco bottles and perfumed miniatures, sit alongside more contemporary creations in a scenography designed to captivate a new generation. The centerpiece of this reinterpretation is the iconic perfume fountain, a key element in Caron's history, modernized by Nuriev to offer visitors a unique experience.

This pop-up, a true homage to Caron's avant-garde DNA, allows visitors to discover timeless fragrances such as Narcisse Noir, Tabac Blond, and Fleurs de Rocaille, while also immersing them in the House's olfactory history. According to Harry Nuriev, "The House has a very rich history. With such a DNA, you can only want one thing: to carry it into the future." This approach, blending audacity and tradition, embodies Caron's vision for the next 120 years, a vision in which innovation and creativity merge to perpetuate the legacy of luxury perfumery.
