At the helm of the production studio Back of the House are Anne-Sophie Prevot and Thomas Warren. A photographer and an architect by profession, the duo chose to embark on the design of scenographies of a new kind.
Whether for Acne Studios, Nina Ricci, Issey Miyake, or Y/Project, Back of the House designs grandiose sets, certainly, but also tells stories within them. Surrounded by a talented creative team, Anne-Sophie and Thomas have more than one trick up their sleeve. Acumen reveals three set designs that caught their eye.

THE ACNE STUDIOS FALL-WINTER 2023 FASHION SHOW
For Acne Studios, Back of the House attempts a new approach. On the advice of Jonny Johansson, creative director and co-founder of the ready-to-wear brand, the duo worked closely with designer Shona Heath to create these chimeric trees. At times mystical, at others fantastical, the set immerses viewers in an enchanted forest where time stands still.

THE NINA RICCI SPRING-SUMMER 2024 FASHION SHOW
Designed in collaboration with Harris Reed, artistic director of the ready-to-wear brand Nina RicciA large blue drape dominates the interior of the Palais de TokyoAs if by magic, the mannequins appear and disappear alternately behind the textile artwork. The space is plunged into a disconcerting purity where only the draping seems to offer an escape.

THE Y/PROJECT FALL-WINTER 2023 FASHION SHOW
A change of atmosphere for Y / Project where light is the main backdrop. Here, the space dictates the scenography, not the other way around. Seated on long black benches, the spectators' eyes are no longer fixed on a breathtaking staging, but rather on the clothes worn by the models. Our set designs are like plays. Lighting is therefore essential in our work. " concludes Anne-Sophie Prevot.
