CASA PRETA PARFELIPE HESS

Head to São Francisco Xavier, a mountainous area about 150 km from São Paulo. Casa Preta, meaning "black house" in English, is a country residence of nearly 220 m², designed by architects Felipe Hess and Lucas Miilher. Its exterior facade has been painted black, allowing it to blend into the surrounding vegetation and natural landscape.

In terms of appearance, it resembles a pavilion divided into two sections of different sizes. This division is created by a bay window housing a veranda with a wooden floor that echoes the pergola, also made of wood. Under this pergola, guests will delight in observing the breathtaking landscape stretching into the infinite expanse.

The larger of the two sections houses the living areas with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a communal living space encompassing a living room, dining room, and kitchen. This spectacular space, with its minimalist yet striking fireplace and library designed by the architects, sets the tone. In addition to large windows framing the landscape, this room connects directly to the balcony, which spans the two sections of the building. A skylight runs the entire length of the main section, illuminating the bathrooms, hallways, passageways, and part of the living area. A true haven of peace, complemented by a more intimate space for yoga, as well as for enjoying the sauna, bathroom, and other amenities, making Casa Preta a genuine sanctuary.
