Well known to fans of virtual art and design, Andrés Reisinger, an Argentinian creative based in Barcelona, had made a lasting impression with his 100% digital armchair. Hydrangea, then transposed into the real world.
Six years later, the designer and artist continues his work, notably in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Simply titled Take Over Jeddah, His new creation is being presented at the first edition of Balad Al-Fann, an event whose aim is to revive the Jeddah district listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Located in the heart of the historic old town, Reisinger's work questions our perception of non-physical and physical entities. After a first edition of Take Over In Miami, this new Saudi work aims to give a modern twist to ancient narratives, asking viewers to consider tradition from a fresh perspective. Even though the old structure is wrapped in pink fabric, the artwork does not alter the building's aesthetics. Reisinger's signature color, both vibrant and evoking a sense of comfort and familiarity, pink can foster human connection through a feeling of unity and belonging. Standing 17 meters tall, the installation is intended to spark a discussion about the meaning and value of architectural "objects," particularly those at risk of being abandoned and which represent the city's cultural and societal past.
