A minimalist boutique hotel in China

The Sumei Skyline Coast, located in Sanya on the tropical island of Hainan, celebrates beauty and relaxation in a play of perfect proportions. Shenzhen-based GS Design imagined a minimalist pied-à-terre clad in white and blue, a reference to the ocean and its waves. The building's facade plays on undulation with its rounded windows and balconies. The interiors continue this movement, offering fluid circulation thanks to pure arches and geometric elements. Azure skies, sea, beach, palm trees, sunrise and sunset... the postcard landscape serves the spaces superbly, from the bar to the restaurant, from the infinity pool to the roof terrace, from the lounge to the bedrooms, inviting you to lose yourself in the distant horizon. Shifting light and shadow continue to depict the poetry of this 3,200 m² spatial structure. The photos give it an almost unreal feel. GS Design excels in the exploration and expression of minimalist art, transforming the hotel into simple yet sophisticated stage showcases suspended in time.
