An artist of the world

Born into a family with cosmopolitan ambitions, Béatrice Serre has made the world her favorite playground. From each corner of the globe she travels with her family, she takes with her imperishable memories of the peoples, cultures and natural elements that have welcomed her. Back in France, she practiced tapestry at the Lycée polyvalent de Sèvres before moving to Paris to study at the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art (ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres). It was during her studies that Béatrice realized her first works in marble and granite mosaics. It was a revelation! Behind her bold assemblages, whose harmony is matched only by their bewitching beauty, is a whole reflection on diversity. A lovely way to hold the world in your hands...

A new vision of an ancestral art

Faithful to the ancient techniques of block-cutting and hammering, and with a resolutely contemporary universe, Béatrice Serre has given new life to a discipline long considered obsolete. Attracted by the energy of stones and minerals, to which she felt deeply attached from an early age, she chose to combine the rough and the precious in spectacular creations. Alongside rough stones such as slate or lava, which she cuts, Béatrice composes original chromatic scores from tesserae of marble or onyx, glass paste, gold enamel, topaz or lapis lazuli. The result? Unique pieces of art with rich textures and shimmering light!

The field of possibilities

From interior design to sculpture and furniture, Béatrice Serre explores the infinite possibilities offered by the art of mosaic. Limited only by her creativity, she tirelessly assembles her fragments of the world to create breathtaking collections. Whether jewelry, tables, mirrors, lamps, bas-reliefs, frescoes or monumental wall decors, Béatrice's works enchant the world with their hypnotic and moving aesthetics. A plunge into the heart of what nature has to offer, and what only Beatrice knows how to reveal...
