GROWING UP IN A CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT
Born in the South of France, Lola Mayeras grew up with a ceramist father. In his clay-turning workshop, the inquisitive child developed an early passion for form and color. It was this creative drive that first drew her into the arms of fashion! After studying fashion design in Paris, the young woman worked as a fashion designer in the capital for six years. The unprecedented upheaval of the health crisis is probably to thank for Lola's decision to return to the sanctuary of her childhood. As the world came to a standstill, the young woman rediscovered her father's workshop, strangely deserted and silent since the owner's retirement. In this haven of creation, Lola's fascination with clay resurfaces without warning... culminating in the hand-crafting of her first collection of ceramics.
EXPERIMENTATION AS A MEANS OF EXPRESSION
Since 2020, Lola Mayeras has made her mark on the decorating scene with a spontaneous, playful creative universe that's uniquely her own. Three collections later, her surname has become synonymous with cheerfulness and good humor, and is now associated with a whole colorful world of offbeat, humor-tinged ceramics capable of brightening up decors with their mere presence. Far from the academicism of this art form, Lola Mayeras' freedom of tone enables her to take ceramics into unexplored territory. Making experimentation her muse, she uses hand-stamped clay and molded forms as new means of expression. In her hands, clay is transformed into decorative objects with astonishing textures.
