Light, a journey beyond borders
From November 28, Riyadh was decked out in a unique glow. Noor Riyadh, the world's largest festival of luminous art, returned for its fourth edition, transforming the capital into an open-air gallery. With over 60 luminous works, the festival offered a magical journey through monumental installations by Saudi and international artists.
Cette année, le thème “Light Years Apart” a invité les visiteurs à explorer la lumière sous toutes ses dimensions : artistique, scientifique, et spirituelle. Les spectateurs, résidents comme voyageurs, ont été transportés dans un univers où chaque œuvre racontait une histoire, illuminait un chemin et réinventait la nuit.
A dream at the heart of Vision 2030
Noor Riyadh has become a celebration of the power of art in urban transformation. Supported by the Riyadh Art Program, one of the flagship projects of Vision 2030, this event reflects the city's determination to become a global hub of creativity.
Son Altesse le Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, ministre de la Culture, avait résumé cette ambition : “Noor Riyad est une plateforme annuelle qui rassemble des artistes de renommée mondiale pour inspirer et enrichir la vie de tous.” Avec le soutien de Son Altesse Royale le Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Riyad se présente comme une capitale culturelle incontournable, où tradition et modernité cohabitent en harmonie.
When light becomes a whisper
The workshops, lectures and community gatherings that accompanied the festival provided an immersive and educational dimension. Whether you wanted to explore the secrets of light or simply be carried away by the beauty of the installations, every moment was rich in discovery.
At the helm of this edition, internationally acclaimed curator Dr Alfredo Cramerotti and talented Saudi curator Dr Effat Abdullah Faddag orchestrated a unique visual and emotional experience. Each work became a point of connection between cultures, ideas and eras.
Riyadh in a new light
For two weeks, Riyadh was transformed into a city bathed in light, where every street corner revealed a new work to discover. Noor Riyadh was an invitation to dream, reflect and marvel through art and technology.
