Following its inaugural edition last year, Le Melville returns to the Château de Bagatelle for another season of jazz dinner concerts. Until July 29th, the Parisian club sets up its stage in the heart of one of the most elegant locations in the Bois de Boulogne. Sixteen evenings are scheduled between June and July, transforming the château's main courtyard into a venue dedicated to live music and fine dining.
Upon arrival, one's gaze is immediately drawn to the pale facades of the 18th-century building, bathed in the last rays of sunlight. The gardens unfold a tapestry of deep greens punctuated by flowerbeds in shades of pink, white, and purple. As the light fades, the lanterns and lights installed in the courtyard take over, creating a more intimate atmosphere. In the neighboring walkways, Bagatelle's famous peacocks appear regularly and sometimes wander through the dining areas, adding to the unique charm of the place.
Each evening begins at 19:30 p.m. with dinner service, followed by the concert at 20:30 p.m. The musical program features several guest artists and ensembles throughout the summer. These include the Petter Wettre Quartet, Estelle Perrault Quartet, Nancy Murillo, Rémi Toulon Trio, Anastasia Quartet, Victor Demange, Alexis Valet accompanied by Richard Sears, as well as Ellen Birath and Matthieu Boré. The concerts alternate between jazz standards, swing, blues, contemporary compositions, and a repertoire influenced by Latin American music.
The dinner was conceived by Chef Malcom Ecolasse around a menu specially created for this second season. The meal begins with smoked butter French toast accompanied by smoked scamorza cheese, stracciatella, kiwi, and cashew nuts. The starter then features a meagre carpaccio enhanced with a leek leche de tigre, paired with pickles, roasted pecans, and a touch of yuzu. For the main course, a slow-cooked chicken fillet is served with dauphine potatoes, poultry jus, and a roasted garlic condiment. The dinner concludes with a caramelized mille-feuille accompanied by a lemon cream, lime gel, and shiso leaves.
The 2026 season runs from June 2nd to July 29th, with events held every Tuesday and Wednesday, except for June 23rd and 24th. With seating intentionally limited, each performance maintains an intimate format, allowing for a close connection between the musicians and the audience.
