Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera: four little Mediterranean paradises, so close and yet so different, which, beyond the clichés, have managed to retain their charm and authenticity. Here's our selection of addresses - from brand-new boutique hotels to exceptional restaurants - to experience the Balearic Islands in bohemian chic.

HOTEL PETUNIA IN IBIZA RETRO AMBIENCE
Just inaugurated in the southwest of the island, Petunia breathes new life and charm into an old hotel, located directly opposite the mythical and magnetic Es Vedra rock. From its lush gardens and ceramic frescoed swimming pool to its 42 rooms and 3 restaurants, the Beaumier group's latest opus nurtures nostalgia for Ibiza's golden age. Architect and artist Lula Galeano has captured the energy and glamour of the 1970s, combining vintage furniture and pastel colors. A harmonious setting, ideal for rejuvenation, between a treatment in the wellness area, a bike ride in the heart of nature, a paddle along the coves, a yoga session and an open-air cinema.

HOTEL DUNAS DE FORMENTERA DISCREET REFUGE
The smallest of the four large Balearic islands has just opened a new hotel, as elegant as it is peaceful, launched by the Marugal Group. Dunas de Formentera owes its name to the dunes of Migjorn beach that surround it: a wild, unspoilt natural setting that guests in the 44 rooms, 25 of which have sea views, can enjoy without restraint. The sea can be seen from everywhere! The use of natural light, the choice of colors (terracotta, beige, blue, off-white) and the contrast of materials (silky fabrics, jute...) give the interiors plenty of character. The DNA of this place is slow life, respect for the environment and simple luxury. The restaurant is a surprising fusion of Mediterranean, Peruvian and Mexican cuisine.

HOTEL SON VELL IN MINORCA HERITAGE AS A LEGACY
Under the appropriate name of Vestige, a collection of hotels and private estates in buildings of great historical value all over Spain has recently come into being: the initiative of a family of enthusiasts, the Madera Fernandez family. Son Vell is the very first. It is housed in a sumptuous 18th-century manor house and its outbuildings in the heart of an agricultural estate. The beaches are just a few minutes' walk away, as is the Cami de Cavalls, the coastal path ideal for horseback riding. All around, the unspoilt Menorcan countryside, archaeological sites and the pretty port city of Ciutadella. Thirty-three rooms and suites occupy the meticulously restored premises, dotted with contemporary works of art and creations by local craftsmen.

SON BLANC HOTEL IN MINORCA ZEN ATTITUDE
Benedicta Linares Pearce and Benoît Pellegrini dreamed of an eco-friendly, self-sufficient neo-auberge that would also look the part. Anne-Cécile Comar of the Parisian architecture firm Atelier du Pont rose to the challenge with brio. To resurrect and transform this old farmhouse on a 130-hectare estate in the center of Menorca into a hotel, she favored locally sourced materials and collaborated with craftsmen who perpetuate traditional know-how. After five years' work, Son Blanc was born, with 15 rooms including one reserved for artist residencies, massage rooms, an orchard and aromatic garden to supply the restaurant, pottery workshops, meditation sessions in the forest... it's the ideal address for reconnecting with nature. You're sure to fall in love with the setting, between pine and olive trees, and with the rock pool with its sea view.
