KISAWA, VIRTUOUS SANCTUARY

At the crossroads of luxury hospitality, design, eco-responsibility and innovation, Kisawa Sanctuary was built in part using 3D printing, to blend in better with the landscape, between dunes and forest. The same goes for the furniture. The result: 22 bungalows with the appearance of thatched huts, built with sand mortar and seawater, decorated with local handicrafts and featuring a
private swimming pool. They offer direct access to the white sandy beach, the starting point for memorable dives and humpback whale watching trips.

This crazy project, on the island of Benguerra, 14 km off the mainland, was initiated by Nina Flohr, a businesswoman and... princess, inspired by Jean Prouvé and his vision of African-style modernism. The resort is very involved in the life of the neighboring village, and finances an on-site ocean research center, which she also created. An idyllic address for beauty and discovery.
