Fascinated by the soul of objects, Franck Genser designs unique pieces of furniture, straight out of his imagination. More of an artist than a designer, this former engineer explores all creative avenues off the beaten track. Resolutely free, like the spearheads of the Bauhaus movement from whom he draws his inspiration, he works to create new forms. An innovative take on design that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary trends! And the Toutaime lamp is no exception. Halfway between a sculptural work of art and a table lamp, this delicate object is clad in alabaster to diffuse its soft, refined light. A sensitive aesthetic in which Franck Genser's mastery lies. Disconnected from its intended use, the designer's quest for the form that will delight the eye dominates his work. With an avowed ambition: to trigger a feeling of psychological utility with his objects.

Comprising a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and craftsmen, the Franck Genser workshop combines a range of exceptional skills to create each of the designer's creations. Whether walnut, parchment, marble or Japanese lacquer, the workshop uses only the finest materials, whose meticulous detail borders on the sublime. In the expert hands of its collaborators, these refined materials are transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture. Just like the Shogun dining table! The result of an encounter between Franck Genser's minimalist spirit and Japanese aesthetics, this table is almost too beautiful to dare sit at. It has to be said that red lacquer has no equal in transforming the traditional warmth of beech into a highly graphic element. A master in the art of combining timeless elegance with modern functionality, the Franck Genser atelier offers creations that transcend the ages.

In January 2024, Franck Genser opened his first showroom at a confidential address in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. It's at 121, boulevard Saint-Germain, in a prestigious setting that once housed Yves Saint Laurent's confidences to his psychiatrist, that the designer presents his emblematic pieces. In a hushed, elegant atmosphere, the King Kong sofa, the Chumtak desk and the Iko floor lamps are all on display. Trained in Gestalt therapy, Franck Genser brings to life in this place steeped in history his approach centered on the constant interaction of the human being with his environment. Beyond a purely aesthetic quest, the studio's work aims to combine functionality, art and sensory perception. The result? Emotionally vibrant objects you can't help but fall in love with...
