On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2025 in Milan, the Saint Laurent fashion house, under the artistic direction of Anthony Vaccarello, celebrates the legacy of Charlotte Perriand by reissuing four of her iconic furniture designs. These pieces, designed between 1943 and 1967, had previously existed only as prototypes or sketches. They will be presented from April 8 to 13 at the Padiglione Visconti, during the "Saint Laurent - Charlotte Perriand" exhibition.

A collaboration between fashion and design
This initiative is part of Saint Laurent's wider drive to merge the worlds of fashion and design. Anthony Vaccarello carefully selected these works for their timeless modernity and resonance with the house's aesthetic. Reissued pieces include.
The Rio de Janeiro Bookcase (1962): originally designed for Perriand's husband, this solid rosewood bookcase with woven rattan sliding doors was intended to display works of art alongside books.
Le Fauteuil Visiteur Indochine (1943): created for Perriand's residence in Vietnam, this armchair combines a chromed tubular steel frame with a rosewood seat and back, reflecting the influence of local craftsmanship.
La Table Mille-feuilles (1963): composed of ten superimposed layers of contrasting woods, this table features a top with concentric circles, testifying to Perriand's technical and aesthetic mastery.
La Banquette de la Résidence de l'Ambassadeur du Japon à Paris (1967): designed for the residence of the Japanese ambassador to France, this monumental bench over seven meters long appears to float thanks to its curved base.

Highlighting the modernist heritage
With this exhibition, Saint Laurent underlines its commitment to preserving and promoting the heritage of modernist design. Yves Saint Laurent himself was an admirer of Perriand's work, collecting her pieces throughout his life. This reissue pays tribute to this mutual admiration, and offers the public the opportunity to discover rare pieces that were previously inaccessible.

The pieces will be available in limited editions and made to order, reflecting the exclusivity and exceptional nature of this collaboration.Fuorisalone.it
