INVENTING A COMMON LANGUAGE
Laure Girodroux and Louis-Henri Delpy first met at architecture school. Their first collaborations led to love at first sight, both in life and on stage. The two interior designers began their career working with designers renowned for their singular universes, before coming together in 2013 to found their own agency. With one idea in mind: to pool their cross-disciplinary skills to create a new language of contemporary design. Filled with a freedom of tone that allows them to break codes, they dare to explore the field of all possibilities. Through their infinite creative palette, they upset the delicate balance between luxury and simplicity, audacity and elegance. Far from being stuffy, their "haute couture" spirit gives life to apartments, hotels and boutiques that are both casual and sophisticated. Sensitive to the beauty of detail, the duo cultivate the many references to decorative arts and design from the 1950s to the 1980s, which they are particularly fond of and which they allow themselves to revisit with their resolutely contemporary eye. The result? Unique living spaces that are as timeless as they are crossbred.
A SUCCESSFUL FIRST FURNITURE COLLECTION
Subtle and deeply rooted in a quest for absolute beauty, the agency's signature and the excellence aimed for by the duo require the invaluable assistance of exceptional journeymen and craftsmen. Spearheading the spotlight on French know-how, Girodroux & Delpy has rapidly crossed its core business with high-end artistic and craft disciplines. A permanent interpenetration that nourishes each of their bespoke interior designs! From these collaborations sprang the idea of bringing to life a collection of furniture and artwork that would embody the values for which the studio is renowned. Pushing back the boundaries of their creativity a little further, the duo drew on the art workshops of the Réunion des musées nationaux - Grand Palais to write their new score: furniture intensely rooted in the zeitgeist, yet heir to ancestral techniques and finishes.

Like the living spaces they design, their first exclusive pieces of furniture have been acclaimed the world over. It's no coincidence that, since April, Ernest, Selene, Horace and Homer, Ulysses and Garros have found pride of place on the online gallery of the prestigious Studio Twenty Seven. Founded in 2018 by Nacho Polo and Robert Onuska, this must-see gallery in Miami, New York and London is renowned for its cutting-edge, luxurious and minimalist selection of contemporary art and design pieces. Alongside these hand-picked decorative objects, Girodroux & Delpy's first furniture collection defends the elegance of French decorative arts across the Atlantic. The Garros pedestal table, designed with the Vitry marble factory and available in marble or solid wood, is a case in point. With its sculptural allure and clean, graphic contours, Garros brings together the nobility of the raw, just-formed material and the delicate aesthetics of the top joints.
