AT THE CAB FOUNDATION
The CAB Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence presents a captivating exhibition highlighting the innovative work of Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen. Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, known for their unique sculptural approach to furniture, unveil a fascinating retrospective of their last twelve years of work.


The exhibition offers visitors an intimate insight into the creative world of Muller Van Severen. As well as offering a meticulous selection of their most representative furniture pieces, it also invites visitors to take an in-depth look at their creative process. Photographs by Scheltens & Abbenes reveal fascinating details of the artists' work. These include prototypes, drawings and materials, giving a unique perspective on the duo's work. Muller Van Severen straddle the border between art and design, bringing to life pieces that transcend traditional categories. Their sculptural furniture interacts dynamically with the space around it, offering an immersive aesthetic experience. Inspired by art, architecture and materials, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
Muller Van Severen's creations are distinguished by their versatility, vibrant colors and sculptural aesthetics. The designers use a range of carefully selected materials, such as leather, brass, polyethylene, steel, marble and enamel, to give shape to their ideas. The result is furniture that catches the eye and invites interaction. Despite the complexity of their creative process, Muller Van Severen's pieces often appear simple and spontaneous, as if they were drawing with chalk in space.
The CAB Foundation's 1950s building, completely renovated by French architect and interior designer Charles Zana, provides the ideal setting for showcasing the work of the two artists. Their pieces blend harmoniously into the architectural environment, creating a truly immersive experience.
