This project is a true creative exploration where the designers of the renowned watch manufacturer revisit the very essence of watches. Under the theme "Incredibly specialized watches," seven original creations were unveiled, each designed for a specific and unexpected use, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary watchmaking.
Seiko's Power Design Project is much more than a simple watch exhibition. It's a testing ground where each timepiece tells a unique story and offers playful, surprising, and sometimes unconventional uses. The singular creations revealed illustrate Seiko's commitment to pushing the boundaries of watch design by offering innovative concepts adapted to specific situations.
Among the most fascinating concepts presented this year is a watch specifically designed for playing hide-and-seek at an unprecedented level of competition. This bold model transforms telling time into a truly sensory experience. With its counting and vision-restricting modes, this watch reinvents the fun of the game while highlighting the often-overlooked role of the seeker.

For sukiyaki enthusiasts, Seiko is innovating once again by creating a watch that guides the wearer step by step through the preparation of this traditional Japanese dish. Each stage, from choosing the ingredients to the cooking time, is integrated into the watch, helping even a single person master the art of this complex dish. This concept reflects Seiko's vision of combining functionality with a cultural and sensory approach.

Another bold concept presented at this exhibition is a solar watch that unfolds to become a dial, allowing time to be measured according to the sun's position. This unique, almost poetic model invites reflection on our relationship with time and nature, a true luxury in our modern society obsessed with precision and punctuality.
The world of design is also celebrated with a watch created for fashion designers. This timepiece plays on softness and creativity, using supple materials and special features to stimulate the imagination of stylists. Similarly, panda lovers and masking tape enthusiasts will find something to their liking with watches featuring original designs that playfully and inventively celebrate their passions.

Finally, Seiko innovates once again by introducing an ambidextrous watch, designed to adapt to use on either the right or left hand. This versatile model changes color and shape depending on the wrist's orientation, thus unlocking the potential of ambidextrous individuals and offering a unique and personalized experience.

Since its founding in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori, Seiko has never ceased to create and surprise. With iconic collections like Prospex, King Seiko, and Astron, and technological advancements such as Kinetic and Spring Drive, the brand continues to reinvent itself while remaining true to the visionary spirit of its founder. The Power Design Project is part of this perpetual quest for innovation, redefining watchmaking as a true art form, blending creativity and technology with a deep understanding of cultural shifts.
With this event in Paris, Seiko proves once again that watchmaking can be much more than a simple time indicator: a true vector of artistic expression and innovation.
