THE PLACE OF OUR CHILDHOOD WITH AN ART DECO LOOK
Nestled in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the Faubourg Daimant restaurant welcomes its guests in a friendly and warm setting.

Beyond the Art Deco-style bay window, the curves and soft lighting invite us inside for a culinary and plant-based discovery. We take our seats at a candlelit table, which highlights the ochre hue of the velvet banquettes facing us. Around us, the dishes resemble those we found on our grandparents' table during family dinners, the kind we discover at flea markets, emanating a subtle aroma that whets the appetite.
To start, I decided on an appetizer called "broccoli guacamole": a sustainable, French-inspired version of this classic dish, served with organic flour pita bread. A combination of flavors that pair perfectly with the sweet chili pepper.
Then, my gaze falls upon carrots with barbecue sauce! I order them, and upon tasting them, an explosion of flavors unfolds, transforming these orange roots into a dish worth trying, one that leaves no one indifferent thanks to its masterful blend of almond ricotta and black sesame cream. A moment that evokes the scents of the family garden while offering a journey through the fields via a glass of white wine from Touraine, from the Plou et Fils estate.

And to finish on a sweet note, since we decided to extend this delightful evening in this calm and pleasant little haven, I chose a poached peach with hibiscus in a chilled broth, served with a peach compote on the side, reminiscent of holidays spent in the orchards of the South. Faubourg Daimant offers avant-garde cuisine with deeply committed dishes that are mindful of environmental issues, while championing the expertise of French gastronomy. A place to visit, but take your time!
