Born from the shared love of two friends for gastronomy, the Ikoyi restaurant has charmed gourmets with its unique flavors.
This London restaurant, which has earned a place in the Michelin Guide, is above all the story of a meeting, or rather a reunion: that of Jeremy Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale . The former grew up between Hong Kong , Canada , and England. A graduate in languages and philosophy, he initially worked in the business world, but the allure of gastronomy was undeniable…
The second, originally from the Ikoyi district of Lagos, Niger, arrived in England as a teenager. As an adult, he immersed himself in the business world, while also maintaining a passion for cooking, nostalgic for the bold flavors of his childhood. He then developed restaurant concepts in East London, experimenting with all aspects of the industry.

It was following a chance conversation that the two friends, now business partners, discussed the idea of a new restaurant concept, opening up a world of possibilities… A period of intensive research ensued with the aim of forging a new culinary narrative, resulting in a series of dishes blending African, Asian and British flavors.
The result? Menus with West African influences that surprise the senses with a beautiful balance between warmth and umami. Among the must-try dishes are hibiscus and fermented Scotch bonnet pepper, mussel custard, saffron and Kaluga N25 caviar, plantain, spiced efo and roasted peanut, and smoked jollof rice.
