OJII TRAVELS TO THE TUNE OF IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE

Hidden in the heart of Paris's seventh arrondissement is an address that undoubtedly promises a journey to Japan.

From the ambiance to the dishes, every detail is meticulously considered to welcome guests into a warm, chic, and festive setting where Japanese-inspired flavors blend perfectly with lacquered walls adorned with bronze masks designed by artist Jenna Kaës. The duo behind Ojii, Olivier Leone and Arthur Cohen, are no strangers to the restaurant scene. After launching Onii-San in the Marais district, they decided to continue the adventure and expand the concept with this new location on the Left Bank.

Once past the seventies-style storefront, we enter the domain of chef Yuji "Taku" Mikuriya and are immediately immersed in the experience thanks to ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. The journey begins even before we sit down at our table, for a nourishing energy emanates from Ojii. The setting and the dishes truly have the power to transport us to other worlds.
To start things off gently, we decided on a Sake Lychee Martini. A skillful blend of Karatamba sake, lychee juice, a splash of Nikka vodka, and of course, lime to awaken the taste buds. We paired this drink with a toro ikejime nigiri to share, a perfect way to whet our appetites.

We continue with a Landes yellow chicken sautéed with teriyaki and sansho pepper, accompanied by deliciously sautéed shimeji mushrooms and salsify chips. A subtle and refined blend of flavors that pairs perfectly with Asahi Japanese beer.
To gently ease into the evening and end on a sweet note, we opted for a Sake Koji cream puff with sliced pear. A delightful explosion of flavors. Ojii is an address not to be missed during your visit to Paris for an exclusive experience in an enchanting setting bathed in candlelight.
