ROOTS, A CELEBRATION OF FAMILY COOKING

Racines transforms our vision of Parisian restaurants by turning dishes into true stories. Each plate celebrates a moment of the year with seasonal produce that is as intense as it is flavorful. Building bridges between Italian and French gastronomy, Racines promises a culinary experience that blends local ingredients and traditions to create lasting memories around the table.

Located in the Passage des Panoramas in Paris, the restaurant immerses you in a timeless and welcoming atmosphere with its antique tiles, distressed mirrors, and patinated furniture. Boasting exceptional service and a commitment to authentic tastes and flavors, the restaurant, under the direction of chef Simone Tondo, offers wonderful recipes inspired by his grandmother, Isa, with all the contemporary charm of Parisian bistros.

From the moment we stepped inside, the open kitchen filled the room with nostalgic aromas. We took a seat at a small table and decided to start with a glass of Trebbiano from Cantina Indigeno. A perfect appetizer that promised a magical evening.

Next up, it's vitello tonnato! A little marvel. Each bite transports me back to memories of my travels in Italy. The ingredients blend with the wine, and the precision and love put into preparing this dish amplify the flavors tenfold.

Before I could even come back down to earth, the tagliolini with beef ragù and tomato sauce arrived in front of me. The aroma wafting from my plate told me I'd made the right choice. A comforting dish where the ingredients are presented simply, like at home, without any fuss, so that all you have to do is appreciate the chef's warm and inviting cooking.
