Led by a talented young duo consisting of chef Yen Nhi Huynh in the kitchen and Angèle Pampelune in management, both having already proven themselves at La Parade and Rosa Bonheur respectively, this address is worth a visit.
From the street, I notice a well-positioned table in this convivial space. Once seated, I begin my meal with a small chipotle egg mayonnaise. A classic of French cuisine, revisited and given a perfect boost for a delicious appetizer, accompanied by the house's signature cocktail: tequila, hibiscus, and Timut pepper.
For my main course, I opted for a taco with shredded beef bourguignon, grated carrots, and shallots. A surprising combination that went down easily. On the palate, France met Mexico: the aromas unfolded and blended deliciously. And once we'd finished our glass of Burgundy, "La Tête dans les nuages" (Head in the Clouds), it was time to land. Back to Paris and its current gray skies.
