Boucheron – “Untamed Nature”, the wild impulse of life

"Being here is wonderful."
— Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a young poet

Nature has always inspired fine jewelry. But for Frédéric Boucheron, it was never a mere ornamental motif: it was breath, movement, truth. Ivy, thistles, ferns, flies, and bumblebees populate the luxury house's archives like so many living, free, and untamed presences. A nature that is not domesticated, but followed, in its spontaneous forms and secret impulses.

In 2025, this founding vision is reborn under the impetus of Claire Choisne. With "Untamed Nature," the new Histoire de Style collection, the artistic director pays homage to this untamed nature and infuses it with renewed power. Through 28 pieces with unprecedented ways of being worn, she rethinks the relationship between the body and the natural environment: jewelry becomes landscape, skin fertile ground.

The collection is divided into two realms. First, the plant kingdom, where stylized thistles, carrot flowers, and ivy branches blossom into ethereal brooches, modular jewelry, and transformable necklaces. Then, the animal kingdom, populated by stag beetles, moths, and rhinoceros beetles that alight on the body like mysterious talismans. Wings open, volumes shimmer, the creations seem to come alive with the slightest breath.

Here, technical prowess fades into the background, giving way to emotion. Diamonds, mother-of-pearl, and white gold accompany without constraint, suggesting more than they glitter. Each piece seems born of its own accord, as if plucked from the depths of a dream. Nothing is fixed, nothing imposed: everything is gesture, vibration, sensation.

More than a collection, "Untamed Nature" is a dreamlike herbarium, a precious ark of free, sensitive, sometimes slightly wild creatures. A living encyclopedia of fine jewelry, where Boucheron offers an instinctive, organic, conscious luxury. A delicate ode to the natural beauty of what grows, crawls, or flies far from sight; an essential collection.
