The British Fashion Council foundation is donating part of its funds to this event. The charity focuses on education, developing an enriching career path for pioneering companies in terms of environmental impact, and supporting young talent. On December 1, 15 awards were presented to creative directors, a model, a designer, artists, and others for their positive and profound impact on the fashion industry.
The award for best international designer of 2025


The Designer of the Year award went to Jonathan Anderson for his role as creative director at Dior and JW Anderson. His fresh perspective made a big impact in 2025, as he is the new head of design at the prestigious fashion house Chanel. A fashion house that has no trouble reviving its collections year after year. Given the numerous collaborations between JW Anderson, his eponymous brand, and other players in the fashion industry, it is clear that the designer has become familiar with market demands. Each collaboration combines aesthetics and innovation with Irish heritage.
The award for the best British designer of women's fashion in 2025


The British women's fashion designer of 2025 is Sarah Burton for her rigorous work at Givenchy. Givenchy's renowned mastery of cuts and textures has developed significantly since Sarah Burton joined the company in September 2024. She designs playful fashion that loses none of its femininity and elegance thanks to very slender and structured silhouettes.
The British Designer of the Year Award for Menswear 2025


The British menswear designer of 2025 is Grace Wales Bonner. She has an artistic vision steeped in an Afro-European heritage that fuels her research and menswear designs. Her innovative perspective on menswear has taken her to the doors of a major luxury fashion house, Hermès.
The Vanguard Award


The Vanguard Award recognizes an avant-garde and promising British fashion designer. This year, the award-winning designer is not a man but a woman, Dilara Findikoglu. She founded her eponymous brand around a visionary, macabre, and romantic style.
The Model of the Year Award


The model of the year is African American Anok Yai. During her speech, she spoke about her commitment to raising awareness of the ignored truths of political polarization in Africa.
- The Pandora Style of the Year Award went to Sam Woolf, stylist for American singer Doechii. His lasting influence is fueled by his radical outfits, which are either provocative or formal.
- The special mention recognizes Chanel's 100 years of presence in the United Kingdom.
- The Isabella Blow Award was presented to Rei Kawakubo, Adrian Joffe, and Dickon Bowden for the creation of Dover Street Market.
- The special recognition award was given to BFC Fashion Trust for its 15 years of service.
- The special recognition award was presented to Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior, for her significant contribution to the world of fashion and culture.
- The award of excellence recognized a designer for their creative impact throughout their career. Brunello Cucinelli was the big winner.
- The Costume Designer of the Year award went to Kate Hawley. She designed the costumes for the film Frankenstein, among others.
- The special recognition award was given to Fashion East, a talent incubator run by Lulu Kennedy and Raphaëlle Moore.
- The Cultural Innovator Award recognizes the influence of an artist outside the fashion industry who has nevertheless left their mark on both the fashion and pop culture industries. Musician Little Simz had the honor of receiving this award.
- The posthumous award for outstanding contribution to fashion is dedicated to Melanie Ward, stylist and muse to leading fashion designers.
The ceremony highlights a distinctly British fashion industry, supporting the economy and ecosystem of fashion in the United Kingdom. Its work begins with young students curious about a career in fashion during their high school years, and continues through university studies and business creation. The big winners of this edition have all contributed to the growth of this major industry in terms of aesthetics, ethics, and commitment.
