The photographer and art director seduces the eye with his monochrome, minimalist and poetic compositions that flirt with the human body, shapes and contrasts.

The geometry of movement, symmetrical reflections, abstract and surreal shapes, undulating and angular silhouettes, plays of light and shadow... François-Xavier Pelissier, aka FX Pelissier, invites us on a modern, poetic journey in his portfolio. For the past fifteen years, this Parisian fashion photographer, who heads up his own visual design studio, BOLDZ studio, has distinguished himself by exploring the expressive potential of the body.

A graduate of Penninghen, the renowned school of interior architecture, communications and art direction, he has been passionate about images and drawing since his earliest childhood. His taste for the arts is rooted in his upbringing and in his mother's career as a painter. At the age of 16, he acquired his first camera, criss-crossing the streets of Paris to capture the graphic interplay of the urban environment. For this inventive jack-of-all-trades, it was an obvious choice. The world of creation was his!

Since then, he's been developing his own projects, while at the same time collaborating with big names in luxury, fashion, beauty and more. Between visual communication strategies, editorial commissions and the launch of his own brands, FX Pelissier imposes his style.

LIMINAL AESTHETICS

Not surprising, given his photographic work. This 44-year-old virtuoso has a knack for transforming his subjects into veritable human sculptures. Always on the lookout for poses and postures that are both delicate and graphic, he never ceases to reshape their bodies and silhouettes in a graceful, elegant aesthetic. Although he lets a few shades of blue slip out, he leaves color behind and turns to black and white and sepia. FX Pelissier
thrives on a monochrome, minimalist palette, perfecting details in a setting that is always empty and neutral. He also likes to take the time to work with skin texture to create those sharp, pronounced visual contrasts. "Every nuance, every play of light helps to express the depth of the moment frozen in my monochrome, offering a refined and captivating vision of reality," he explains.

His image compositions sublimate the "essence of the moment", to better capture the emotional impact of the perfect image.
