In the hushed setting of a Parisian mansion, Danish fashion house GANNI unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection. A cozy wardrobe blending maximalism, heritage, and boldness, for a silhouette that is both intimate and forward-looking.
At GANNI, winter promises to be generous and warm. The new wardrobe designed by Ditte Reffstrup evokes the charm of interiors of yesteryear, transposing floral tapestries, thick drapes, and noble materials into silhouettes where opulence meets spontaneity. Between cocooning elegance and confident boldness, the GANNI woman reinvents herself in a world where fashion becomes a refuge.
The 38 silhouettes presented at the Pozzo di Borgo hotel in Paris's7th arrondissement convey a creative tension between inner and outer life. Loose-fitting coats unfold like protective curtains, while voluminous skirts and cape-detailed blouses seem to borrow their movement from the draperies of country houses. "I wanted the clothes to be enveloping, like a cocoon in which to take shelter, " explains Ditte Reffstrup, faithful to the DNA of a fashion house that champions a femininity that is both assertive and comforting.
The collection plays with contrasts and contrasts: mismatched layers, mix & match textures and prints, mini hobo bags revisited in floral tapestries. Accessories play with codes, from clogs turned into mules to alternative fur scarves, always with the natural ease that defines the GANNI woman.
But behind the baroque aesthetic lies a contemporary reflection. The house continues to explore the limits of sustainable development with, this season, sparkling flowers made from seaweed as an alternative to traditional sequins. Still in the prototype stage, they express a clear desire: to reinvent fashion by aligning it with ecological requirements. "Exploring this potential has been a fascinating process, " says Reffstrup. "We can't wait to see how we can incorporate it into our future collections."
