The most anticipated series of 2026

Remakes or sequels of classic films and successful franchises, highly anticipated new seasons, or entirely new anthology series—2026 promises plenty of surprises in the world of television. Here's a small selection of the most promising programs. 

Euphoria 3 season

It's been almost six years since we've been waiting to see Rue, Jules, Lexi, or Nate again in the new season ofEuphoriaSam Levinson's ultra-stylized series. In the meantime, many of the cast members have become stars: Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, and Colman Domingo. While the subversive and provocative aspects will undoubtedly be present in this third season, the rules have changed: five years have passed, and in the meantime, the teenagers have become young adults grappling with their responsibilities. Also of note: the arrival of Spanish star Rosalía in one of the main roles, and Sharon Stone in guest five stars.

Blade Runner 2099

After Dune, et Harry Potter, it's the universe's turn Blade Runner to be adapted into a series. Produced by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner 2099 It has been announced since 2021, but remains very mysterious. All that is known is that it will take place fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049 and will follow the flight of two "replicants" from different generations: Cora (Hunter Schafer) and Olwen (Michelle Yeoh).

Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, Jacques Audiard's film propelled Tahar Rahim, a young, 28-year-old newcomer, to international stardom. Seventeen years later, the film has been remade as a series, adapting the story to more contemporary issues. The protagonist, a young Comorian man (Mamadou Sidibé) arrested after his building collapses in Marseille, meets a mafia boss (Sami Bouajila) in prison. Directed by the Italian Enrico Maria Artale, the series premiered at the last Venice Film Festival.

American Love Story

After American Horror Story et American Crime Story, here are Love StoryIn this new anthology series, the prolific Ryan Murphy turns his attention to love, from a perspective that is as romantic as it is dramatic, and of course, historical. The first season will follow the life of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. (nicknamed "John-John") and Carolyn Bessette. A glamorous and tragic story, cut short by the plane crash of July 16, 1999, in which they both lost their lives. A pivotal moment in contemporary American mythology, the series will feature numerous historical figures, including Jackie Kennedy, portrayed by Naomi Watts.

Glamsquad

Natacha Krief

Fashion Weeks, the Cannes Film Festival, and other social and media events are the playground of the heroes of Glamsquad, a new series created by Rebecca Zlotowski (and co-directed with Agathe Riedinger, the author of Rough diamond), which focuses on the frenetic daily lives of the "HMC" (Hair, Makeup, and Wardrobe) teams, behind the scenes of the most glamorous events. A mini-series that will follow the boundless ambition of three young talents in worlds as exclusive as they are ruthless.

But also : Carrie, the Prime Video series adaptation of Stephen King's classic; Rabbit, Rabbit, starring Adam Driver, coming soon to Netflix; A Tale of Two Cities, a face-off between François Civil and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), coming soon to Prime Video; Pretty Things according to Virginie Despentes, during the year; and Scarpetta with Nicole Kidman, from March 11, also on Prime Video; and from now on, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, prequel to Game of Thronesand the fourth season ofIndustryboth on HBO Max.
