Ironheart – Season 1

New series of Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ironheart is obviously part of the legacy ofIron ManExcept this time, the inventor of a super-powerful suit of armor isn't billionaire Tony Stark, but a young African-American woman from Chicago's poorer neighborhoods. Created by poet Chinaka Hodge, known for her work addressing the gentrification of African-American neighborhoods in the United States, the new Marvel series revisits the tradition of the hero who is forged through small, everyday adventures and a few traumas (here, a story of grief), grounding it in a specific community. We remember... Miss marvel, which had taken us to the Pakistani-American neighborhoods of New Jersey; now, let's turn to hoods from Chicago! Regular viewers will therefore be on familiar ground, with the pleasure of discovering new young actors, starting with Dominique Thorne, who plays the main role.

The Bear – Season 4

Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has finally opened his gourmet restaurant, The Bear, in the former sandwich shop of his late brother. The first review has just arrived, and it's far from perfect. While there's "potential," there's still a lot of work to be done to make the business profitable. Adding to the pressure: his landlords are giving him two months, not a second more, to become profitable. This timeframe is very concretely represented by a huge digital timer installed in the kitchen. As you might have guessed, the theme of this fourth season is time. For the first episode of this new season, creator Christopher Storer playfully uses numerous shots of clocks and explicitly references, illustrating the paradox of time slipping away while repeating itself, the famous... One endless day with Bill Murray. Enough to add even more excitement to one of the most stressful series in the history of streaming platforms and television.

Overcompensation – Season 1

Valedictorian of his high school and former quarterbackBenny has all the trappings of the alpha male, fresh off the plane at university. Except that Benny is secretly gay. He's never admitted it, not because of homophobia, but because he's always struggled to assert himself, to make his own choices—not those dictated by his family and friends. Will college be an opportunity for him to break free from a destiny he's been forced to accept? A slightly wacky teen movie that revels in its visual style, resurrecting numerous tropes of the 2000s (Britney Spears and Megan Fox are liberally referenced). Overcompensation It's also the autobiography of its creator, who also plays the lead role, Benito Skinner. A comedy that's as tender as it is wacky, perfect for summer.

The Patriarch, the guru of drug addicts

Mid-1970s. A larger-than-life character named Lucien Engelmajer, with his imposing physique (tall, with long hair and a gray beard), founded a strange organization: The Patriarch. His goal: to create communities of ex-junkies to radically and without medical supervision help hundreds of addicts overcome their addiction. A post-hippie movement, The Patriarch also became a particularly lucrative multinational corporation where a personality cult worthy of the worst dictatorships reigned supreme and where abuses were frequent. To tell this incredible story, directors Léa Barracco and Christophe Astruc opted for the format of a documentary miniseries "in the Netflix style," with a richly detailed production, reminiscent of the darkest of thrillers, and a particularly sharp sense of narrative and suspense.
