On the verge of rivaling Milan, the French capital showcased French creativity in design and interior architecture last September. Among new collections, new publishing houses, and emerging trends, here is our selection.
for an exhilarating season.

LACLAUX, A SUSTAINABLE PUBLISHING HOUSE

Just steps from the vibrant Place des Victoires, Laclaux, the new publishing house founded by Chloé Nègre and François-Xavier Fonbonnat, two seasoned interior architects and designers, was born, with the ambition of giving pride of place to transmission, craftsmanship, and sustainability. This last word is far from being an empty one here, as the duo is committed to creating bold, joyful, warm pieces with responsible longevity.

PRADIER-JEAUNEAU GALLERY, AN ODE TO FRENCH DESIGN

Aurélien Jeauneau and Jérémy Pradier, two renowned antique dealers from the Paul Bert Serpette market at the Saint-Ouen flea market, have just settled in Paris's 7th arrondissement, opening their first gallery. Not content with promoting the great designers of the second half of the 20th century, such as Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Guariche, and Pierre Paulin, they also hope to use this new space to support contemporary talents like Anthony Guerrée, Axel Chay, and Guillaume Delvigne.

THE ART OF RELIANCE

Made of stoneware, this tableware, an ode to conviviality, possesses the charm of handcrafted pieces. Available at Serax from mid-November.

LACQUER IS MAKING A COMEBACK

This urushi lacquer table, named after a tree in Japan, is a creation of the duo Garnier & Linker. A pair of designers passionate about the ancestral techniques of the Land of the Rising Sun, much like Jean Dunand and Charlotte Perriand were in their time, starting in the 1940s. "Kami" Collection.

SINGULAR HALO

Highly expressive, these cylindrical light fixtures, available as table lamps, floor lamps, and pendant lights, are inspired by the poetry and minimalist aesthetic of Japanese design, which has long fueled the creativity of designer José Lévy. The bases of these "Clopes" are sometimes made of white or black lacquered metal, and sometimes of charred wood. Part of the "Clopes and Co" collection, available at Silvera Université.

100% FEMININE

Located in the Drôme Provençale region, this creative laboratory, named Studio Mo-Mo, brings together craftswomen, artists, and designers. The result of an artistic residency, these pieces are the product of a rich dialogue around materials such as wood, stoneware, wicker, stone, glass, and textile fibers.

A SCORE WITH ART DECO ACCENTS

Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani are undoubtedly the interior designers we will be hearing a lot more about! After furnishing the Bains Gardians hotel in Camargue this summer, they presented their second furniture collection, "Entremets", which deploys a decorative repertoire reduced to the essentials by the sobriety and rigor of the lines.
