For more than fifteen years, the French designer has been building a unique and eclectic universe. She, who will celebrate her fortieth birthday in 2025, daughter of architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, graduate of the Camondo school and the Royal College of Art in design, under the professorship of Ron Arad, makes her creations truly innovative, aesthetic and even slightly futuristic pieces.

Victoria Wilmotte still enjoys experimenting, transforming, welding, bending, sawing, cutting, painting, and refining. Minerals and steel are among her preferred materials, while industrial and artisanal materials, mechanistic forms, and production processes remain her favorite playground.

Since then, she has taken on numerous commissions for private clients and designed collections for brands and publishers (ClassiCon, Haviland, Daum, Theoreme Editions…). In the meantime, she launched her hybrid studio, VW Factory, a combination showroom and workshop, to create prototypes and self-produced pieces.

CONCAV, A NEW ARTISTIC SENSIBILITY

Today, this designer and manufacturer at heart is solidifying her expertise by opening her first Parisian space at 38 rue Madame, in the 6th arrondissement. For the occasion, she is presenting her new collection, "Concav," composed of furniture pieces and an extra-large mirror. Continuing her signature interplay of materials, colors, and symmetry, this range of everyday objects pays homage to the sphere.

Curves are thus incorporated into each piece. Revealing a carefully designed graphic and sculptural line, the stool, mirror, and nesting tables are cut, assembled, hand-painted, and crafted from powder-coated steel. The same is true for the glass, with a laminated finish in a citrus hue. A beautiful self-produced collection, then, still made in their factory at 30 Quai des Célestins in the 4th arrondissement.

“ My personal collections are based on a colorful and more industrial aesthetic ,” she emphasizes. And it's hardly surprising to see these straight lines, sharp angles, contrasting hues, and her interplay of solids and voids. Victoria Wilmotte continues to offer a personal and meticulous vision that constantly reinvents the atmosphere of the home.
