ACNE STUDIOS, RAW MINIMALISM

BY STUDIO HALLEROED

The design studio Halleroed continues to surprise with its boutiques created for the ready-to-wear brand Acne Studios. Sometimes brutalist, sometimes futuristic, each space is like a play unfolding in several acts. Let's take a look.

Christian and Ruxandra Halleröd envisioned a new concept for the luxury boutique, where design reigns supreme. The boutique transforms into a gallery where everything becomes a space for contemplation: from the simplest coffee table to the latest trendy stilettos. This provided Acne Studios with the opportunity to unveil its world in a matter of seconds. Halleröd called upon the creativity of Max Lamb. Denim armchairs, fabric-covered televisions, stainless steel clothing racks and shelves… The British designer masterfully blended disparate elements within a single space. Known for his primitive furniture pieces, Lamb is an expert when it comes to taming materials. Recycled cardboard, polystyrene, wool…
Everything is a pretext for creating a functional work.

ELEGANT MINIMALISM

The interiors of Acne Studios' numerous boutiques extend outwards through vast openings that form their facades. From the ivory carpeting to the beige stone walls, visitors are enveloped in various protective bubbles, each with its own distinct identity. The layout was designed to display the clothing like works of art, blurring the lines between fashion, design, and art. Proof that the architecture of emptiness can also be elegant.
