What if design no longer simply dressed up a space, but became its very substance? With Mas Creations, the Spanish studio Masquespacio transforms the home into a terrain of total expression, on the border between formal experimentation, high technology and an uncompromising artistic vision.

Mas Creations' approach is almost a manifesto. It's not simply about offering furniture designed to fit into a pre-existing interior, but about designing a holistic environment where shapes, materials, and colors compose a coherent and organic visual language. Nothing is left to chance: each piece, from the sculptural stool to the coffee cup, is part of a unified design language that rejects the fragmentation of classic industrial design.
At the heart of this bold endeavor are Ana Hernández and Christophe Penasse, founders of Masquespacio. Since 2010, the duo has made a name for themselves on the international scene with projects boasting strong visual identities, garnering numerous prestigious awards, such as the Young Talent of the Year award from Elle Deco International in 2020. Their instantly recognizable style blends bold graphic influences, a vibrant color palette, and sophisticated textural interplay. After more than a decade of meeting the needs of diverse clients, they felt the vital necessity of breaking free from the constraints imposed by commercial briefs. Mas Creations was thus born from a desire for absolute freedom: the need to experiment, explore, and develop a more personal, even intimate, vision of design.

This radical shift became fully apparent when they acquired a historic house dating back to 1925 in the Valencia region, spanning 450 square meters. Rather than furnishing it conventionally, they chose to transform it into a "living laboratory" entirely shaped by their own creations. This unique space, nestled in nature, became the stage for their most cherished influences: from their background in graphic design to the disruptive aesthetic of New Memphis, all while incorporating a constant desire to create a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing.
From the very first pieces, the project's unique character is strikingly evident. The Triangle Chair , almost monumental in its stature, evokes a contemporary throne with assertive geometric lines, inviting the occupant to reign over their kingdom in style. Conversely, the U Chair stands out with a more fluid and organic silhouette, combining formal simplicity with playful expressiveness to adapt to any type of project. The Cloud Chair , a true icon of comfort, offers an enveloping seat that invites a kind of dreamlike escape, somewhere between physical well-being and an imaginary journey.

This desire for storytelling continues with the 3 Characters collection and its Trencadis chair . By reinterpreting the traditional Catalan technique popularized by Gaudí—which assembles small fragments of broken ceramic to recreate a unified whole—Masquespacio creates a work that symbolizes resilience. This piece embodies a person who has overcome numerous obstacles to achieve a newfound sense of well-being, perfectly illustrating the idea that design can tell profound life stories.

The project's appeal also lies in the way its structural elements are conceived. The room divider, crafted from local wood and natural paints, transcends its function as a simple partition to become a sculpture in its own right, punctuating the spatial organization. The ceramic collections, such as the CONO series, reflect this fascinating hybrid of technical innovation and craftsmanship: they are first designed using in-house 3D printing of clay before being finished and glazed by hand, guaranteeing the uniqueness of each piece.
Even the most familiar objects contribute to this overall vision. The Coffee Cups reinterpret traditional codes through unexpected shapes and strong color contrasts, transforming an ordinary gesture into a playful and aesthetically pleasing moment. This obsessive attention to detail helps establish a coherence where each element finds its place within a larger composition, making the home a complete work of art.

What makes the whole project particularly striking is the immersive experience it offers. Living in a space entirely designed by a single studio is both original and surprisingly natural. The result contrasts sharply with standardized, mass-produced interiors. Here, the living space asserts a clear identity, driven by an auteur vision that embraces both brutalism and futurism.
Ultimately, Mas Creations is more than just a collection of objects. The project deeply questions our way of living and our relationship to the things that surround us. It suggests that an interior can be conceived as a continuous narrative, where creation becomes a vehicle for pure emotion and a tool for redefining our presence in the world.
