AT THE CAB FOUNDATION
The CAB Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence presents a captivating exhibition highlighting the innovative work of the Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen. Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, known for their unique sculptural approach to furniture, unveil a fascinating retrospective of their last twelve years of activity.

The exhibition offers visitors an intimate glimpse into the creative world of Muller Van Severen. In addition to showcasing a meticulous selection of their most representative furniture pieces, it also invites visitors to take a closer look at their creative process. Photographs by the duo Scheltens & Abbenes reveal fascinating details of the artists' work. These include prototypes, drawings, and materials, providing a unique perspective on the duo's practice. Muller Van Severen operates at the intersection of art and design, creating pieces that transcend traditional categories. Their sculptural furniture interacts dynamically with its surroundings, offering an immersive aesthetic experience. Inspired by art, architecture, and materials, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

Muller Van Severen's creations are distinguished by their versatility, vibrant colors, and sculptural aesthetic. The designers use a range of carefully selected materials, such as leather, brass, polyethylene, steel, marble, and enamel, to bring their ideas to life. The result is furniture that is both eye-catching and inviting. Despite the complexity of their creative process, Muller Van Severen's pieces often appear simple and spontaneous, as if they were sketching in space with chalk.

The 1950s building of the CAB Foundation, completely renovated by the French architect and interior designer Charles Zana, provides the ideal setting to showcase the work of the two artists. Their pieces blend harmoniously into the architectural environment, creating an extraordinary immersive experience.

Between furniture, installation and artwork, Muller Van Severen's versatile and sculptural creations captivate and inspire, demonstrating a unique sensitivity to aesthetics and innovation.
