Forbidden love, Alias 223

Amour défendu (Forbidden Love) is the second collaboration between Beijing-based talented photographer Lin Zhipeng, aka 223, and New York-based curator and producer Anna Mistal.

Paris, City of Light, City of Love... was the starting point for Anna Mistal's project. Between clichés and fantasies, she wanted to see what Paris, an important city in her eyes, would look like through the lens of artist photographer 223, who was immediately captivated by the idea. Like a stroll, a sensory and quasi-cinematographic journey where we discover scenes of life, without judgments, without constraints, without authorities, without barriers; images of freedom, full of poetry and humanity. Nude models move and reveal themselves in an urban landscape; one could almost hear whispers, so much life is present, even a cry, which would tell us: "Be who you want, be free!" We watch image after image, and the question of gender and identity gradually disappears, giving way to moments of grace between pure beings, in love with life and love...
