In November, the Marais district will once again become the capital of photography. From November 14 to 18, 2025, ImageNation Paris returns for a new edition that promises to set the city abuzz with the rhythm of contemporary photography. Under the inspired direction of Martin Vegas, this now-essential event offers twelve international exhibitions spread across three iconic spaces within the Galerie Joseph network.
Organized in parallel with the Paris Photo weekend, ImageNation Paris is part of the vibrant visual scene that makes the capital a global hub for photographic creation. Here, there is no hierarchy between the intimate and the grand reportage: each exhibition reveals a sensibility, a unique perspective, a singular way of inhabiting the world through images. Between fine art portraiture, documentary photography, and experimental forms of expression, the event creates a vibrant mosaic of stories and sensibilities.
The exhibition begins at the Galerie Joseph Le Palais (5 rue Saint-Merri), with an opening reception on Friday, November 14th at 18 pm. It then continues at the Galerie Joseph Froissart (7 rue Froissart) and the Galerie Joseph Chapon 17 (17 rue Chapon), both opening on Saturday, November 15th at 18 pm. Three venues, three distinct atmospheres, but a single common thread: the conviction that photography remains a universal language, capable of expressing the essential where words fail.
The invited artists come from Europe, America, and Asia. Their series explore identity, memory, nature, and the place of humanity in the city. Each of them examines our era through their personal lens, offering a multifaceted interpretation of reality. This diversity makes ImageNation Paris much more than a simple art event: an international platform for exchange where photographers, collectors, publishers, and image enthusiasts come together.
ImageNation Paris cultivates a rare idea of photography, both demanding and welcoming. This exhibition reminds us that photography is not just a captured moment: it is an act of seeing, a gesture of memory, a way of reinventing reality.
