The Dior Gallery pays tribute to the talent of Peter Lindbergh in an exceptional exhibition presenting around one hundred photographs that illustrate three decades of collaboration between the famous German photographer and the French fashion house.

This exhibition follows the book published by Taschen, which explores the profound connection between Dior and Lindbergh. It features iconic photographs taken between 1988 and 2018, at Lindbergh's initiative, who encouraged the fashion house to capture its creations across the Atlantic. Obsessed with the authentic expression of women, the photographer described his work as a quest for emotion and mystery, a tribute to feminine strength and beauty.

The exhibition unfolds across ten spaces where visitors can admire Dior silhouettes, sometimes as mannequins, sometimes in photographs from publications such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. In addition to these iconic series, contact sheets and previously unseen prints offer a rare glimpse into Lindbergh's creative process. A highlight of the exhibition is the unveiling of exclusive photographs taken on the streets of New York in October 2018 to illustrate seventy years of creative history, and never before exhibited.

The retrospective highlights the affinities between Peter Lindbergh's vision and that of Dior. It offers a unique visual dialogue between the creations of various Dior artistic directors, from Christian Dior to Maria Grazia Chiuri. Through this exhibition, the Galerie Dior celebrates not only the legacy of the haute couture house, but also the work of a legendary photographer who captured the timeless beauty of women.
