A former professional skateboarder turned photographer, Quentin de Briey takes us on a journey with
his latest book in his New York wanderings of the last ten years, combining snapshots, street portraits, portraits of friends and images from his editorial work.
Thank you for your business, as the book is called, presents itself as a condensed photographic journal stretching from 2014 to 2022, and testifying to the vitality of the city and the photographer's perspective through these years.
Originally from Belgium, Quentin de Briey collaborates with magazines, fashion brands, and advertising agencies worldwide. However, it is the street that fuels much of his talent and inspiration. This book is part of a series published annually since 2018, each compiling photographs taken during the preceding year, like a window into his personal and professional world through the cities he explores.

Alongside well-known and unknown skaters—the sport permeates the book with its stars like Tyshawn Jones and Keith Hardy—and urban landscapes, are portraits of celebrities and top models such as Alicia Keys and Freja Beha Erichsen. In both black and white and color, his mastery of tone and composition yields particularly rich images, as movement and light guide the viewer's gaze and framing, whether it's an outstretched arm in full exertion or a glimmer of light on a building's windows. These situations combine to create a social and subjective portrait, in the purest tradition of street photography.
