Forbidden Love, Alias 223
Forbidden love (Forbidden Love) is the second collaboration between talented photographer Lin Zhipeng, aka 223, based in Beijing, and exhibition curator and producer Anna Mistal, based in New York.
Paris, City of Lights, city of love… was the starting point for the project initiated by Anna Mistal. Between clichés and fantasies, she wanted to see what Paris, a city of great importance to her, would look like through the lens of the photographer 223, who was immediately captivated by the idea. Like a stroll, a sensory and almost cinematic journey unfolds, revealing scenes of life without judgment, constraints, authority, or barriers; images of freedom, full of poetry and humanity. Nude models move and reveal themselves in an urban landscape; one can almost hear whispers, so present is the life there, perhaps even a cry, telling us: “Be who you want to be, be free!” We look at image after image, and the question of gender and identity gradually disappears, giving way to moments of grace between pure beings, in love with life and love itself…
